HSA INCENTIVE PROGRAM

ProActive RewardsTM
The Fontis HSA Support System integrates dozens of education materials and wellness resources. But simply offering them isn't enough—you've got to get employees involved. Our unique ProActive Rewards program does just that, and also happens to be the best tool available to reward employees for proactive health. Here's how it works: employers elect that a certain percentage of their monthly HSA contributions are only available to employees after completing a monthly education curriculum consisting of videos from our Consumerism and Health and Wellness Video Libraries. The Fontis system then tracks each employee's monthly progress as they complete their assigned curriculum, and employees who complete their assignments are rewarded with an additional HSA contribution.

Learning Management System Integration
The Fontis ProActive Rewards program operates without adding any extra work on you or your clients. Once the details of the program are finalized, our Learning Management System (LMS) takes over and automates the process. The LMS tracks each employee's monthly progress and prepares a simple end-of-month report for your client, who then authorizes an automated fund transfer into the corresponding HSAs.

Personalized Curriculum Based on Risk Assessment Results
By integrating the ProActive Rewards program with our Personal Health Risk Assessment, Fontis makes it possible to reward employees for focusing on their own unique health issues (which also happens to be the issues that drive claims costs)! In the fourth month of the plan year, employees complete a Health Risk Assessment as their ProActive Rewards requirement, which identifies potential risks and areas for focus. The LMS then uses this report to generate a personalized curriculum for each employee. For example, if an employee is identified as being borderline diabetic, our system creates a curriculum that focuses on videos about managing diabetes, adopting a healthier diet, and the importance of regular exercise.

Best Incentives Available
Consider this: other employer-sponsored wellness incentive programs reward employees with the possibility of cash or prizes. But our unique ProActive Rewards program trumps any other wellness program because the value of your client's reward is greater. First, using HSA dollars as an incentive means that the reward is directly related to the goal of the incentive program: health. Secondly, HSA contributions have the ability to quickly increase in value through the unique tax-free savings (and earnings) advantages of an HSA. And thirdly, all HSA contributions made by the employer are tax-deductible—upping the value of the reward without increasing the cost!

ProActive Rewards Savings
And here's the icing on the cake—the unique Fontis ProActive Rewards program consistently generates savings that exceed the total cost of our platform. How? By making your HSA program a variable cost solution with a known maximum. With traditional HSA plans, employers contribute to each employee's HSA and employees receive these funds no matter how proactive they are about their health. But with some or all of the employer HSA contributions run through the ProActive Rewards program, your clients only give HSA dollars to the employees who earn them. The result: the savings accumulated from non-participating employees easily exceeds the monthly Fontis PEPM fee.
