Fontis Health announced today that Bluegrass Family Health of Lexington, Kentucky has selected Fontis Health to provide their ProActive Rewards online wellness incentive program and Fontis Health Savings Account (HSA) Manager to employer groups enrolled in Bluegrass Family Health’s Consumer Choice HSA plans. The rollout is scheduled for October 1, 2008.
The announcement comes as more employers are looking to combine incentive-based wellness initiatives with a consumer directed health plan design in order to provide their employees with the tools and the economic incentives to take a more active role in managing their health and health care spending.
ProActive Rewards is a unique wellness incentive program that allows employers to provide incentives in the form of cash, gift cards, premium reductions, HSA dollars, or other rewards to employees who complete a Personal Health Risk Assessment and a personalized online wellness curriculum. The customized education videos, tools, and resources help employees proactively manage their health, while employers see the benefits of reduced claims costs and healthy, productive employees. The Fontis HSA Manager is a unique online administration platform that simplifies HSA administration.
Bluegrass will include the ProActive Rewards program and the Fontis HSA Manager with all Consumer Choice HSA plans.
“We are pleased to partner with Bluegrass Family Health to deliver an easy, convenient, and rewarding way for employees to get proactive about their health,” says Chris Anderson, President, Fontis Health. “We believe strong wellness education is crucial for positive change in our health care system, and it is an honor to support Bluegrass Family Health’s commitment to their employer group’s health needs.”
Garry Ramsey, Chief Marketing Officer, Bluegrass Family Health says “this is a second generation product that engages the employee with education and includes incentives, while providing customized material for each individual.”
Increasingly, employers are turning to wellness incentive programs to change employee health behavior.1 Deployed intelligently, they are powerful tools to help employees proactively manage their health and control health care costs. Most employers see a positive return on investment (ROI) within 18 months. On average, employers can expect to realize $3 in savings for every $1 invested in a worksite wellness program.2 Fontis Health believes in the benefits of proactive health care and offers solutions to help employers guide employees to become engaged, proactive health care consumers.
